What about a program that would give you a listing of all the radio stations available in your current geographical position. It could give you a list or it could show you the list on a map that would highlight the coverage area for each stations broadcast signal. It could be used for FM or AM.

Not every one is the the US :-<
For instance, I'm in France, and like country music. I'd like to be able to listen to any streaming radio on my phone/car/train/etc.
I think such 'radio' (TV ?) would be a great think for people far from their home (student, worker, businessman), or also people interested in other's culture/news.
In every country/area you have access to 'local' media. With 3G, and 'always online' stuff : we cold do better.
Of course the interface SHOULD be easy/fast to use in car, or public transportation (not web browsing using a browser). Just a list : Radio name+kind of music+location+play (add to favorite)
