online application database

An application database like Synaptic on Ubuntu (or additionnal feature for firefox...) should be created .
So that every application should be registered in this database ( showing screenshots, comments.... )
And people could select any application for instalation using an interface to the database.

This could allow android staff to recommand or not any application and manage the depots (& sources). People from android and users could send comments on the application.
Users could see most downloaded apps, bug reports and choose the best apps for their phone.
