HTC really can’t catch a break. They’ve been facing financial loses for a long time now and have finally managed to turn profit in Q2 this year, their first profit since Q2 2013. It seemed like their financial situation is getting better, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

LG has recently made a comeback with some of the best Android handsets in years. Its Samsung Galaxy Note rival is, LG G Pro, is a hit phone. So is its mainstream flagship G2 among the masses. High on its success over the past two years or so, LG now plans to launch a successor to its highly popular cell phone, G2. This makes it an exciting time for tech readers and followers.

We just recieved some new Nexus devices in the office (Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 10), so it was really strange to read about these rumors just before the unboxing. If true, this may be sad for many, but according to @eldarmurtazin on Twitter, Google will be killing off the Nexus line by next year in favor of Google Play Edition devices.

According to a recent report by The Verge, Nokia has an Android device nearly ready for consumer release.

What’s interesting is that Nokia has forked Android, similar to how Amazon uses it, to create a customized operating system. The move gives more control over the experience, differentiating it from other Android devices, while still allowing most Android apps to work on the device.

Rumors continue to heat up for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 successor, presumed to be called the Galaxy S5. The last few weeks have given way to multiple reports about potential design features for the flagship device. One such rumor was that the Galaxy S5 would be offered in two versions, a premium metal model and a traditional classic form factor.

Today sees us learning of a conceptual render of the Galaxy S5 from a guy (Raphael) who put together a 3D video of what could constitute the upcoming flagship. Is some of it rather ? Maybe. Far-fetched and totally out the realm of possibility? Probably not.

We all know that wireless charging is the future when it comes to mobile innovations and now Samsung is working on improving wireless charging in the coming year. We all know that the number one annoyance of wireless charging is having to place our device perfectly on the charging pad and Samsung is working Samsung Wireless charging solutionson fixing this. Of course wireless charging is a seemingly lazy way to keep your battery full and Samsung will make this even easier.
