Kongregate Arcade for Android

It has been a few days now, that the Kongregate app has reappeared on the Android market, so how does it play?
It was really weird, that Google yanked it from the Market, hours after it was released.

From the Kongregate news section:
..."Unfortunately, Google chose to remove it from the market, saying that it was illicitly installing applications. In truth, Kongregate Arcade just plays Flash games via the Android web browser and doesn't install anything, though it does cache games for faster loading."...

Now it's back, version 1.1.1 is on the market.

The ui is nice and simple, altought the scrolling is not that smooth when the small images are loading. You can order the list by rating and publication date. There are the usual categories that you would find on the webpage too.
Kongregate has a mobile web page..so why did they need a native app?

Liked:

• has almost the same layout as the mobile web page, so it should be familiar for users of the web page
• ui is better at handling buttons and clicks obviusly, and there is a menu option, with profile settings etc. yay for native android apps!
• easy acces to a lot of free games

Disliked:

• no landscape mode in the game list, so you will be shuffling your phone a lot, if you start to explore the games
• framerates were not that great

Flash is getting better on Android, altought the more complex games tend to be a little slow on my Nexus one (android 2.2.2 with newest version of flash).

All in all, the Android Market users just got several hundread nice and free games, which they can really enjoy if they have a high end phone, and their carrier/vendor updated their phones to at least android 2.2.
So yeah..here is another reason to get those 2.2 updates coming. And of course, froyo is already obsolete. Who knows when the 2.3 updates start to roll out. It's been a few weeks now..
