Google Wallet Updates To Add Any Card To Your Mobile Wallet

The main thing that has been keeping me from using Google Wallet is the fact that only one card was primarily supported. That’s all changed with today’s update.

As of today, Google Wallet now supports Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover! That’s great news for those of you who are like me and didn’t own a Citi Mastercard. This update really opens up Google Wallet for all kinds of users.

Here’s the full description of what’s new:

“Wallet, meet cloud.
The new Google Wallet app supports any credit or debit card — Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. These cards are available for in-store purchases using a phone with the Google Wallet app, or for online purchases at participating merchants.
If you lose your phone, you can disable your mobile wallet from the ‘Devices’ section of wallet.google.com/manage”

Another cool feature is that you can disable your wallet from online. That will definitely help users feel more secure about their money being on their phone.

Here is a video of Google Wallet that Google released last year to describe their new product.

Now go out and buy things wherever you see that PayPass sign!
