D-Link announced the availability of MyDLink+, the premium, tablet-optimized big brother to the already popular MyDLink lite app in the Android Market. The latter, which is for Android phones, is free and monitors one camera at a time. The former, which has been reduced in the spirit of the season from $4.99 to just $.99, also allows you to monitor from WiFi or 3G. So no matter where you are, you're connected.

So if you have a home monitering system through D-Link, or you're thinking about getting one, grab it now at the 80% discount before if goes back up on December 31st. If you don't have a set-up at home, the wireless cameras range from $79-$99 online, and they're also great for small businesses, if you're interested.

Daniel Kelley, associate vice president of marketing for D-Link North America, had this to say about the app:

Our new tablet apps join D-Link's suite of monitoring tools to help consumers and small business owners manage their remote surveillance needs on-the-go, it's now easier than ever to see and hear what's going on at home or at the office without being tied to a computer. All you need is a mydlink-enabled camera and an iPad or Android tablet to monitor everything that's important to you. The tablet app was a natural addition to our popular iPhone and Android phone app allowing access whenever or wherever you choose.

So what do you D-Link users think? If you were contemplating a home monitering system before, is this the push you needed? Will this be the deciding factor for anyone? Let us know in the comments below!
