Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server

When you try to add a second google account on your android phone with 2.1 or below it may result with an error telling "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". This does not change if you use wifi or mobile net. As I read it is some kind of bugged VPN handling, and most forums recommend factory resetting and routing yuor phone and other forceful ways.

Hoewer there is a simple and fast workaraound, that works in nerarly all of the cases:

Run the native youtube application, and add the google account there! It is not a problem if the google account does not have a youtube account linked to it, or it is a google apps account, itt will be accepted and appear in gmail and other places, like it were added in settings/Accounts & sync.
