A preliminary assessment of the reworked Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 by a court in Germany has found that the subtle changes to the device are enough to differentiate it from the Apple iPad, and has rejected Apple’s latest claim that the tweeked Android tablet, now known as the Galaxy Tab 10.1N, still infringes its protected intellectual property.

tablet1Word from a "trusted source" at BGR is that Samsung is set to unveil a new tablet at MWC packing an 11.6" screen at 2560x1600. That's nearly twice as many pixels as 1080p in a dinky 11.6" package; thanks to a thinner bezel, said package is only slightly larger than the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Samsung and Android still on top; Siri cries in disbelief

siriAccording to ComScore's latest numbers, Samsung and Android remain on top despite the release of the "revolutionary" iPhone 4S and its side-kick Siri. Samsung remains the top manufacturer, holding onto 25.5 percent of total mobile subscribers (a number that will surely increase once Verizon decides to release the Galaxy Nexus). The release of the iPhone 4S did manage to give Apple a 1.3 point change, but it wasn't enough to get them out of the number four spot.
