KGI Research has predicted the Samsung Galaxy S5 specifications base on rumors that their will be two different models of the device released. One of the GS5′s will be a Global Standard version and the other a Prime Global version. Of course everything is just rumors floating about and a few leaks to verify some but should just the same be taken with a grain of salt. This being said the specs don’t seem to be that far off.
The flagship smartphone may be offered in two versions: high-end metal case with flexible display and traditional plastic
The Samsung Galaxy S5 could arrive in February or March 2014 and may feature some seriously next-level specifications. In fact, both models will. Yes, the Galaxy S5 is now rumored to be coming in two formats; top-tier, and mid-range.
Recently discovered patents suggest that Google may be looking to make it easier for users to operate smartphones with only one hand. The patents, which were filed in Q2 2012, have Google turning to shearing, squeezing, and sliding for gestures and controls.
Given that smartphones are now pushing into 5-inches and larger we should expect that someone steps up to make it easier for users to get a handle on things. After all, what good is pull to refresh and one-tap updates if you’re still using two hands. Seems a little wasted, no?
We have been hearing a lot about Android 4.4 KitKat although until now only a few features here and there have been mentioned. There is an Italian blog called TuttoAndroid that seems to have gotten their hands on a Google Nexus 5 running the new Android OS. With the rumored release of the 4.4 KitKat OS in just a few days we finally have a decent sized list of features to show you.
The Nexus 5 will not only rival the iPhone 5S in hardware performance, but it should be half the cost of Apple’s flagship device. At least that’s what a source close to TechRadar said earlier this week.
Anyone who follows Android is looking for the next version of our favorite mobile OS which in this case is going to be Key Lime Pie. The current rumor for official announcement of the Android 5.0 OS is May 15th at Google I/O. We could have all assumed this would be the case but we are actually seeing a little bit of buzz to verify (to an extent). Keep in mind that most of this is speculation and others thinking out loud but there will be some truth to most of it.
We’ve been hearing for some time that HTC might be cooking up a Galaxy Note 2 competitor, and now more details are trickling in via some leaked photos. Sadly, we haven’t heard anything in the realm of specs for the device, but the black and red accents could mean that this bad boy is coming to Verizon. This would line up with that leaked Verizon roadmap from a few months back.
Hope you're not tired of hearing about the Google Drive! As the rumors about Google's Totally Not Dropbox service leak out in ever-increasing droves, it gets safer and safer to assume the launch is imminent. According to Reuters, Google may be launching the service as soon as Tuesday. Or, as they're calling it across the pond, "today."
Reuters also reports that Google will be offering paid storage options going all the way up to 100GB for a price. No word on what that price is, yet. If Reuters is right, though, we won't be waiting long to find out. In any case, Reuters corroborates that 5GB will be the basic free package.
