For those wanting a large screen tablet and a stock Android experience, the selection has been limited. The most common choice is Google’s Nexus 10, but unfortunately that tablet has not seen an update since its original release. Google spent more time refining their smaller Nexus 7 and left the Nexus 10 in the dust. Many have been waiting for a new Nexus 10 but have seen nothing. Recently, rumors have been spreading that Google is collaborating with HTC on a 9-inch tablet which is of course being called the Nexus 9. Fortunately, it looks like this device might be announced fairly soon.
The Nexus 6 or Nexus X whatever it may be called will be announced and released October or November this year according to sources.
With all of the hype around Google’s next flagship device the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X there has been no word around its actual release date. This said there have been many sources reporting that the new Nexus X will be released in either October or November this year along side the official announcement of the device.
Anyone who follows Android is looking for the next version of our favorite mobile OS which in this case is going to be Key Lime Pie. The current rumor for official announcement of the Android 5.0 OS is May 15th at Google I/O. We could have all assumed this would be the case but we are actually seeing a little bit of buzz to verify (to an extent). Keep in mind that most of this is speculation and others thinking out loud but there will be some truth to most of it.
While we're still keeping a raised eyebrow on this one, it looks like Samsung has sent out invitations to an event where they'll launch the Galaxy S III. Mark your calendars for May 3rd, and set your time zones for London time. Beyond those two tidbits of information, we have very little else to go on. Just take a look at the invite, sent to Tweakers.net, for yourself, here's the full invite:
